With the game tied and three seconds to play, Bethany senior Delonte’ Joyce sank two critical free throws to lift the Bison to a 71-69 victory over conference rival Thiel. The Tomcats still had hope following the free throws, but Joyce took that away with a game-ending steal as time expired. Joyce led the Bison with a game-high 20 points and six steals. In a two-point victory, the free-throw line was pivotal for Bethany and Joyce had his hand in that as well, going 7 for 8 at the charity stripe.
