The Franciscan Barons snapped an 11-game losing skid on Wednesday night with an 83-79 victory over Thiel at the Finnegan Field House. A contributor factor to the losing streak was an injury to center Madison Doan during the 11-game stretch. Now back and healthy, the 6-1 sophomore made her presence felt against the Tomcats with a season-high 25 points. With Thiel leading 71-70 with 2:50 remaining in regulation, the Barons outscored the Tomcats, 12-8, the rest of the way to capture the victory. Doan netted five points, including a pair of field goals, during the game-ending effort. Adding seven rebounds and 3-for-4 shooting at the free-throw line, Doan was named the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game.
