Men’s PAC Semifinal: Chatham at W&J

Men’s Basketball – Chatham
#11 Blaine Gartley
5-10 Sophomore Guard
Stat Line:  21 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists

In a rematch of last year’s PAC championship game, the Chatham Cougars earned a measure of revenge with a convincing 87-61 win over W&J in the PAC semifinals on Thursday night. The Cougars punched their ticket to the PAC title game for the third time in the last five seasons and will face second-seeded Allegheny. Against W&J, Chatham had lost both regular season games. The third time was the charm, however, and the visiting Cougars jumped on the host Presidents for 15-2 lead in the early going and held a 42-21 advantage by halftime. Chatham continued to pour it on in the second half enroute to the win. The steady hand of sophomore guard Blaine Gartley helped lead the way for Chatham. The Mt. Lebanon product posted a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. The point guard added a team-best five assists and was named the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game.
